About us…
Barbara & Kristin are Certified Reiki Master/Teachers, trained in both the Western Takata style Reiki and Japanese Hayashi Usui Reiki. They first became Reiki Masters with William Lee Rand of The International Center for Reiki Training, and Michael Baird and Laurelle Shanti Gaia of Infinite Light Healing Center in Sedona, Arizona. To further their training, they went on to study with Hyakuten Inamoto that teaches Reiki they way it was originally taught in Japan. See Lineage Chart.

Both have also studied the art of Reiki Crystal Healing with Laurelle Shanti Gaia of Sedona and Mika Nelson of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Their common interests in horses and animals, crystals, healing and art has brought them together first in the field of graphic design and advertising and now in the energy healing arts. They teach Reiki and Crystal Healing workshops in the Hudson Valley and the New York City Area.
From the time Barbara was a small child, she felt she had the ability to heal with her hands... we all know what happens to our childhood fantasies - we think they are just that, fantasies... but as an adult, she would put her hands on a person in pain, and the pain would go away... Again, she didn’t truly believe it was possible until she began researching energy healing.
Barbara is a certified Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Komyo Reiki accredited Master/Teacher, Certified Reiki Crystal Healing practitioner and an Animal Reiki practitioner/teacher. Barbara practices Reiki in Mahopac, at a growing Therapeutic Massage Therapy studio.

Kristin has worked as an independent artist and muralist, photojournalist and graphic designer before coming to the healing arts. Her work with energy healing encompasses traditional Komyo Reiki as an accredited Master/Teacher, Usui/Tibetan Reiki as a Master/Teacher, Crystal Healing as a practitioner/teacher, Animal Reiki as an accredited practitioner/teacher, and Intuitive Counseling. Kristin practices at Park South Physical Therapy in Union Square, NYC and in Park Slope, Brooklyn. She is a member of The International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP).
